WASHINGTON – �౦��Ϸ���� (�౦��Ϸ����) Board of Directors has appointed John P. Conneely as director of the Division of Complex Institution Supervision and Resolution (CISR). Mr. Conneely has been with the �౦��Ϸ���� for more than 30 years and was instrumental in establishing CISR while serving as its Acting Senior Deputy Director. He has held numerous senior leadership roles throughout the �౦��Ϸ���� in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, the Division of Insurance and Research, and the Office of Complex Financial Institutions. He most recently served as Regional Director for the Chicago Region.

Mr. Conneely holds a Risk Management commission from the �౦��Ϸ���� and both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in banking and money management from Adelphi University.

Mr. Conneely replaces Ricardo R. (Rick) Delfin, who has held the position since the creation of CISR in July 2019 and previously served as director of the former Office of Complex Financial Institutions. Before joining the �౦��Ϸ���� in 2014, Mr. Delfin held several prominent government roles, including special counsel to the chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and senior counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services. Mr. Delfin will be leaving the �౦��Ϸ���� at the beginning of January for a new challenge in the private sector.

His distinguished public service career and dedication to the safety and soundness of the U.S. banking system have served as role models for many at the agency. The change is effective as of January 4, 2021.
